It is a condition in which an individual experiences a dull pain behind or around the top of the kneecap. Aggravating movements including squatting, running (especially downhill), descending stairs, and prolonged sitting are major triggers for the condition.
It is a condition where a patient feels pain in the inner edge of the shinbone, known as tibia, as a result of an injury or trauma to the connecting muscle tissue around the tibia. Repetitive rigorous physical activities that causes stress to the muscle tissue around tibia leads to shin splint syndrome.
Patellofemoral pain syndrome is pain in the front of the knee. It frequently occurs in teenagers, manual laborers, and athletes. It sometimes is caused by wearing down, roughening, or softening of the cartilage under the kneecap.
